the track was entirely made on a polyend tracker, a stand-alone software-based machine for sampling, sequencing and sound manipulation. trackers were widely spread in the end of the 1980s and mostly in the 90s and served as the main software for the newly originated at the time drum'n'bass genre.

as a percussionist and electronica lover, benev was strongly influenced by drum'n'bass, especially tracks carrying an atmospheric quality into their soundscapes. gentle rush is a tribute to the genre.
